Our goal at Lotus Tribe is to create the most beautiful and comfortable clothing with the least amount of synthetic ingredients.

What does that mean? Simply put, it means our clothes are natural and NOT made out of toxic synthetic fabrics, like most active wear (and fast fashion) available in today's world. And therefore we're not contributing to the overwhelming amount of microplastic pollution caused by the fashion industry. 

In our effort to minimize the environmental and health impacts of the fashion industry, we offer a wide range of clothing options with plant-based fabrics:

• Our Yoga Wear including all bras and undies are all made with 90% cotton and 10% spandex. Natural and breathable for your most sensitive parts. Without a bit of spandex, there would be no stretch, and that just doesn't work for yoga pants, now does it? 
• Our Patchwork Collection pieces are either 100% cotton or 100% cellulose rayon with zero spandex or other petroleum based ingredients.
• Our Meraki Collection is 100% tree-pulp fabric Lyocell. Also known as vegan silk, this fabric is luxurious and as soft on your skin as it is on the Earth.
• Our Island Collection is made of 100% cellulose rayon. Soft, flowy, breathable designs with no spandex or synthetic ingredients.    
• Our Masculine Collection includes tanks and hoodies made of 55% hemp and 45% organic cotton. One of the most Earth friendly fabrics we have! As well as 100% cotton woven hoodies and 100% cotton pants and shorts. No spandex for the gender neutral styles!
• Our stretchy skirts and tops are 90% tree-pulp Viscose with 10% spandex. This eco fabric has the least amount of spandex possible to create these figure hugging styles.  
• Even our Accessories are all plant-based! From cotton and rayon home decor to plastic free hair accessories, you can easily fill your life, and your gift giving list, with Earth friendly options.

*A single laundry load of synthetic clothes can release 700,000 microplastic fibers. Washing synthetic products releases more than half a million tons of microplastics into the ocean each year. The health ramifications from microplastic pollution has now been documented to include hormone and endocrine disruption, DNA damage, respiratory and heart disease, inflammation, neurotoxicity and cancer.

These microplastics enter the Earth's water ways from your washing machine and end up in rivers, lakes and oceans. This toxic soup inevitably makes its way into drinking water, onto people's plates, and into our blood stream. These chemicals have even been found in newborns and breast milk world wide. Its time to stop making and buying synthetic clothing!
